Map update RLink 2

Completed an Oceania Map update (V2018.12) via the toolbox.  Now the Megane RS navigation thinks every Red Light camera in Brisbane is a combined Red Light/Speed Camera and most fixed speed cameras are reported as average point to point ones ?

Also on navigation when I came to a simple T intersection controlled by traffic lights, rather than just direct me to turn right, it wanted me to turn left, drive 500 metres, then do a U turn and go back through the intersection ?

Can I revert to the prior version ?

Hello Martin,

I contacted the engineer team to ask them your question. I’ll reach out to you as soon as I have any more news.

Hi Yann, has the engineering team come back to you yet ?

Also noticing that the map update (not only gets all the safety warnings wrong) but will show that at an intersection there are four (4) Red light/speed cameras ?

Hello Martydaus,

what’s your R-LINK 2 version ? Some versions aren’t compatible with the recent map updates and could cause your issue. Refer here for more info : https://www.gps-rlink.com/r-link-2/update-map/

If you need help to find the version of your system, check here : https://easyconnect.renault.co.uk/phone-pairing/help-software-version/systems#RL2

Hope it helps,

Yann

Hi Yann, the version is 7.0.24.166.

The compatibility link doesn’t say Yes or No just a dashed line (not sure what that means ?)

The update installed and lists in the about navigation screen, the extra content files of: mappackage_tt_oceania-2017_12 and
mappackage_tt_oceania-2018_12

Now it just seems totally confused about safety warnings (amongst other directional things)… School zones is another thing it keeps constantly warning about, even when there are no school zones around.

I’m in Australia by the way.

Hi Yann, the version is 7.0.24.166. (strangely enough, I was also prompted to install a software upgrade. That failed due to the fact it was a prior version than the current version installed)

The compatibility link doesn’t say Yes or No, there’s just a dashed line (not sure what that means ?)

The map update completed in the car and the about navigation screen lists the files…
mappackage_tt_oceania-2018_12
mappackage_tt_oceania-2017_12

The navigation is now totally confused about safety warnings (apart from strange direction choices) .. school zones is another one, it constantly warns of school zones, when there aren’t any around.
I’m in Australia by the way.
